In February, we participated in a seminar organized by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) and the Ombudsman. The theme of the seminar was the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
During the workshop, the practical use of the Charter by representatives of non-governmental organizations at the national level was presented, thus showing the added value of this instrument. The aim of the seminar was also to raise awareness of the Charter and show how the Charter can be used to help victims of violations of fundamental rights, with particular emphasis on the use of the Charter in national courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
The participants of the seminar were non-governmental organizations that operate in the area of struggle for fundamental rights and help victims of their violations also in the area of litigation.
