This was a day dedicated to commemorating the genocide of the Roma during World War II.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire initiative aims to raise awareness about the extermination of the Roma during the war, current challenges related to racism, hate speech, and extremism in Europe, as well as the mechanisms of &#8216;antigypsyism&#8217; among young Europeans, non-governmental organizations, and political entities and institutions. The goal is for an empowered Romani youth to become the key to positive changes in society.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The youth-led conference engaged young Roma and non-Roma from over 15 countries, as well as representatives of various NGOs, human rights defenders, experts, and political stakeholders. TernYpe set itself the task of building a human rights platform among European youth organizations, which would challenge stereotypes and antigypsyism at both the local and international levels. This initiative strengthens the awareness of young Europeans about their role and responsibility towards their communities and society as a whole.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By strengthening cooperation between Romani and non-Romani youth, as well as youth organizations, this initiative shapes collective historical memory, awareness, and respect for human rights.
