Currently, the library is no longer publicly accessible; due to limited funding, the association has decided to restrict access to members of the Jewish community in Krakow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The library\u2019s collection was divided into more than twenty thematic sections (including the State of Israel, memoirs, biographies, prose, poetry, identity and gender, as well as children\u2019s and young adult literature). The collection included books in Polish, Hebrew, Yiddish, and English. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preserving the memory of Jewish life in Poland and disseminating knowledge about Jewish culture and history constituted one of the library\u2019s core missions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between 2013 and 2017, the Library organized meetings for children focused on Jewish literature. During these sessions, children had the opportunity to listen to Jewish stories and tales presented by cultural figures, as well as to take part in philosophical, acting, and art workshops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Library\u2019s collection comprises over 6,000 volumes, thanks to donations from both private individuals and publishing houses that contributed books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Library was recognized as a \u201cReading-Friendly Place\u201d by the Znaczy Si\u0119 Foundation for New Art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested individuals could also get involved in the Library\u2019s activities through volunteering or internships.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-15394339 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"padding-top:10vh;padding-right:5vw;padding-bottom:10vh;padding-left:5vw\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:35%\">\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Project funding support<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Funding<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The project was funded between 2006 and 2019 from the following sources:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ministry of the Interior and Administration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taube Foundation for Jewish Life &amp; Culture<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kenneth Slater<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The collection was available to a wide audience, enabling a comprehensive understanding of Jewish culture in a way free from stereotypes.
