Unzere Kinder Sunday School.
In 2010, the Jewish Association Czulent implemented the project ‘A Majse’ (‘Fairy Tale’), aimed at introducing children to Jewish culture and developing their sense of Jewish identity. Seeing the strong interest in the book, we decided to expand our activities aimed at children. This is how the Unzere Kinder (Our Children) project came to be.

Since 2011, it has been carried out as creative workshops, in which children of members of the Jewish community in Krakow participated. Year by year, we noticed a growing number of young children whose parents wanted to raise them in the spirit of Jewish identity.
At the beginning of June 2014, the Sunday School launched a new, expanded program. It was aimed at fostering an interest in Jewish culture, tradition, and religious customs. We offered children Hebrew language lessons, lessons on tradition and religion, as well as artistic workshops on Jewish art and history, led by well-known artists.
The Sunday School was run in the spirit of Janusz Korczak’s legacy – the children not only participated in the classes but also co-created their program.
